Until 4 June, the Accademia Carrara in Bergamo will host two wooden sculptures by Franciszek Oledzki, from the Lviv National Gallery.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cLeopoli Qui. The culture of peace”\u00a0is an initiative sponsored by the\u00a0Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the\u00a0MUR Ministry of University and Research, the Italian Embassy in Kiev, the Ukrainian Embassy\u00a0in the Italian Republic and the Italian Cultural Institute in Kiev.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ICRO has contributed to helping the National Gallery of Lviv and the Carrara Academy<\/strong>, to bring<\/strong> to Bergamo and exhibit two sculptural<\/strong> works by the artist Franzisk Olensky who want to underline<\/strong>, even if in the particularly difficult climate experienced by the Ukrainian country, that culture remains a essential ground for knowledge and exchange.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cThe two Angels by the sculptor Franzisk Olensky cannot leave our consciences indifferent. They come from a violated land, from the end of the eighteenth century to today they have gone through a history of destruction from which they have miraculously saved themselves. The wooden material represents life, the elegant movement of their sculpted figures recalls their beauty and their essence, precisely being Angels, makes us long for peace. ICRO, which dresses wood with its paint products, is proud to contribute to culture as an instrument of solidarity and friendship between peoples.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative also aims to highlight the action of CESVI, one of the first Italian humanitarian organizations to intervene in Ukraine from the early stages of the conflict, through numerous initiatives to support the civilian population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
